Annual Meeting and Market Place - Tentative Schedule
August 3-7, 2008
MainStay Suites, Pigeon Forge, TN
Sunday, August 3:
Operators! Plan to arrive for the board meeting 2:00-4:00 following by a special operator only business dinner.
All members! Plan to arrive by 7:30 for the show at Comedy Barn and a special hospitality time with operators at Music Road Hotel beginning at 10:00 p.m. Check your confirmation. If you have not signed up and would like to join other AMA members for the Comedy Barn show, make the change on your confirmation and fax to the AMA office immediately, 866-376-1156.
Market Place: Attention, Associate Members!
All operators will be provided a three-ring binder compliments of Smith Family Theater. All Associates should bring their market place information
prepared accordingly. It is suggested that you either hole-punch your material or place it in a 3-hole-punched acetate pocket. Operators may then place their materials in their notebooks containing a tab for each membership category and the binder becomes a handy reference guide after Market Place. (Present your material as you visit with the operators.) Remember that your market place operator visits are 5 minutes .
Schedule Change: Attention All Members
The Monday evening event has been changed. Due to changes at Fiddler’s Feast, which is now Tennessee Shindig, AMA members will not have this as an option. The evening plans include dinner at Music Road Hotel & Convention Center featuring entertainment from Smoky Mountain Palace Theater
followed by a show at Smith Family Theater. Please note on your confirmation form whether you will participate in this event. An accurate number participating in this event is essential. If you are a “no show,” please be prepared to pay $25. Fax your confirmation form to 866-376-1156.
General
It is August. It is still high tourist season for Pigeon Forge. Traffic is heavy. Make your travel plans to accommodate these issues. Plan to arrive early in the event you are delayed by traffic. It is hot in August. Pack to dress comfortably, casual to business casual for all events. Pigeon Forge members are supporting AMA’s meeting in a tremendous way. It is absolutely important that you show up for any commitments you have made. Pigeon Forge members are offering post AMA meeting opportunities for those who can stay late. Please see the options on the confirmation form, make your selection if you can participate, and fax your form to AMA at 866-376-1156.
Ride Along
A ride along opportunity is being provided by Motor Coach Industries, Southern Transportation, and Spirit Coach. If you are interested, please complete the form on the reverse side. This is a great networking opportunity as you can have a great visit while traveling by coach to the Annual Meeting.
I look forward to seeing you all for a wonderful experience in Pigeon Forge!
